# brand game, about 200 pieces - mathematic material

The brand game is used as a link between the comprehensible mathematic material (pearl material) and the abstract calculating on the paper. It represents the ideal link between the written number and the comprehensible value of the other mathematic materials. Application examples: On an addition exercise the child writes down a number of 4 digits on a sheet of paper and sets the corresponding brand. Then he/she writes down another number. The corresponding brands will be set. The brands are linked together according to their value. (thousands to thousands). Now the child is counting the brands while observing the change (tens transition). The result of the addition will be written on a sheet, too. Control for success: Agreement of the numbers of the brands has to agree with the written number.
